esc KUWARU BEACH OUTING JULY 2011 (Part 1)

On Wednesday, 13 July 2011, english speaking community STiPrAm held another exciting outing program to Kuwaru beach in Srandakan, Bantul, DIY. This program was held in order to give esc students a chance to visit the relatively new beach in Bantul area.

At the same time, the students can make use of the program as an evaluation of their study in term II / 2011 to pass to the next level of study (pre-intermediate, intermediate, post-intermediate, or advanced)

As many as 54 esc students, 3 esc instructors (Ms.Renie, Ms.Novi, and Ms.Ayu), and STiPrAm lecturers (Mr.Atonk, Ms.Wheni, and Mr.Aldi)  joined the outing. We left campus before 2 pm by STiPrAm coach and arrived at Kurawu beach at 2:30pm.

Students were divided into 3 groups (marked as the red, white, and blue t-shirts) and each group was led by an esc instructor. Each group then held several games such as quicky-mackey (cepat tepat), guessing game (tebak gaya), and communicating words (komunikata).

Before the games, all participants were asked to introduce themselves briefly to their friends in the group. The games were fun and all students participated enthusiastically.

The winner of each game was given a present. All activities and games ended at about 4.30 pm. Before going back to campus, students were given a chance to play on the beach and enjoy the nature.

Kuwaru beach is located east of Pandansimo beach and about 30 kms from the city of Jogja. The access to this beach has been improved and a big bus such as STiPrAm coach had no serious problems going to the beach. Additionally, parking area near the beach was quite spacious.

Besides enjoying the big waves and the wind on the beach, students can also have meals and drinks in warungs available in the area offering variety of menus to choose. Visitors can also try the ATV with a rent rate of Rp 25.000 for 15 minutes.
